New Year, New Opportunities!

We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to support our mission and help strengthen our nonprofit. Whether you have leadership experience, organizational skills, or a creative touch, we have a role for you!  Email Bill at lakevillefarmingtontreehouse@gmail.com or call 612-968-9597 to discuss.  Thanks for your consideration!

Board Member: Treasurer/Bookkeeper

As Treasurer, you’ll oversee financial activities, maintain records, guide financial policies, and ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations. You’ll also provide clear financial updates to the Board and support fundraising efforts. This role requires approximately 6–12 hours per month and strong attention to detail. A background in finance or accounting is helpful but not required. This is a volunteer, unpaid position with a typical two-year term.

Board Member: At-Large (Director)

We’re seeking a passionate individual to serve as a Board Member At-Large following the departure of one of our amazing members. Board members provide oversight of operations, including programming, fundraising, financial management, and risk management. Meetings occur approximately every six weeks, with ongoing communication via text and email. The role requires approximately 6 hours per month and has typically at least a two-year term.

Fundraising Event Planning Volunteer(s)

Help us plan and execute two mid-sized fundraising events each year! This role includes securing venues and vendors, coordinating logistics, managing budgets, promoting events, and assisting with event-day execution. If you’re organized, creative, and enthusiastic, this is a great way to make an impact. Experience in event planning or fundraising is a plus but not required at all. Time commitment varies: 4–8 hours per month in typical months and up to 15–20 hours in a month leading up to an event.

Policy/Procedure/Compliance Volunteer

We need a detail-oriented volunteer to help create a customized policy and procedure manual for our nonprofit. Using templates and guidelines from our parent organization, you’ll tailor policies to fit our needs and manage a compliance checklist for partner organizations. You’ll collaborate with board members, the executive director, and program leaders to ensure accuracy and adherence. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute organizational skills and help build a strong foundation for our operations.  This is a role where the timing of your contribution is totally flexible.

Social Media Content Volunteer

Are you social media-savvy? Help us maintain and enhance our presence on Facebook and Instagram! This role includes posting engaging content, sharing updates, and ensuring a consistent online presence that reflects our mission. If interested, you can also help design a social media strategy to grow our reach and engagement. The time commitment is flexible, averaging 4–6 hours per month. This is a great opportunity to use your creativity to make a real impact!

Volunteer Coordinator

We’re looking for a friendly and organized volunteer to welcome and onboard new team members. You’ll collect volunteer information, confirm training completion, schedule site visits or first training days, and occasionally assist new volunteers on their first day. This flexible role averages 4–6 hours per month and is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing, supporting others, and keeping things running smoothly. It’s a rewarding opportunity to connect like-minded volunteers and help them make a meaningful impact!

In addition to the volunteer opportunities outlined above, we continue to need your support in the following ways as we work to inspire hope and connection in teens:
